Mount Christmas

Mount Christmas is an even more acute mountain with an altitude of 1745 m ( other claims to 1889 m) on the western side of the Ross Ice Shelf on the Antarctic continent. It is located about 16.7 km west-southwest of Cape May in the Nash Range.

The summit was discovered by the British National Antarctic Expedition (1901-1904) led by Robert Falcon Scott and Mount Christmas ( Christmas Mountain ) because he was the most prominent geographical object in sight on Christmas Day 1902.
