Mount Dampier

The Mount Dampier ( Rakiroa in Maori ) is New Zealand's third highest mountain and reaches a height of 3440 m. The mountain is located in the Southern Alps between Mount Hicks ( 3216 m) and Mount Cook, the highest mountain in the country with 3754 m. The mountain is named after the British navigator William Dampier.
