Mount Evans Scenic Byway

The Mount Evans Scenic Byway is a scenic road ( Scenic Byway ) in the U.S. state of Colorado. It begins - about 40 km west of Denver - from the exit off I - 70 at Idaho Springs on Highway 103 and continues halfway down the highway 5 to the summit of Mount Evans. The Scenic Byway overcomes from its starting point, more than 2,000 meters and is equipped with a layer of 4,307 meters at the end point of the highest paved road in the United States.

Ordinarily, the toll Highway 5 only in the summer months from Memorial Day ( Remembrance Day ) to Labor Day (Labour Day ) public, although bad weather and road conditions may require even greater restrictions.
