Mount Lincoln is with an altitude of 4354 m, the highest peak in the Mosquito Range in the U.S. state of Colorado. The mountain is named after the former U.S. president Abraham Lincoln.

Location

Mount Lincoln is located in Park County and is the highest point in this district.

It marks the end of a ridge that stretches from 4312 m high Mount Democrat in a northeasterly direction over the 4339 m high Mount Cameron. Another neighbor mountain is 4320 m high Mount Bross at the end of a branching off from Mount Cameron in the south-east ridge.

The nearest town is approximately nine kilometers south-southeast location Alma ( Colorado). To the east lies at the foot of the mountain of Montgomery Reservoir reserve.

Mining

Mount Lincoln is made of limestone. In 1871, large silver deposits were discovered here, which until 1892 was particularly intense silver mined. Also, lead can be found here. Way to the summit
