Mount of Beatitudes

The Mount of Beatitudes is a survey on the northern edge of the Sea of ​​Galilee in northern Israel.

According to Christian tradition, these are to the place where Jesus Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7 ) has held that ( " Blessed are ...") with the Beatitudes begins. He also chose here the apostles from among his disciples ( Lk 6:12-16 ).

Former church buildings were located further down the mountain near Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of the loaves. Nowadays there are more on the survey, a monastery and a church; latter has an octagonal floor plan on the number of Beatitudes. From tourists and pilgrims to the plans of Antonio Barluzzi built 1937 church is also visited for the view over the lake.
