Mount Rossman

Mount Rossman is a mountain in the Enterprise Hills, which belong to the Heritage Range in West Antarctica. The 1450 m high, wedge- shaped mountain situated in the north of the mountain range, between the Henderson Glacier in the South and the Union Glacier in the north.

Mount Rossman was mapped by United States Geological Survey as part of the acquisition of the Enterprise Hills in the years 1961-66 by site surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain after the ionospheric physicist Rossman W. Smith, who worked in 1965 at the American Eights station.
