Mount Royalist

The Mount Royalist is a distinctive, 3640 meters high mountain, three kilometers west of Mount Adam rises in the Admiralty Mountains in Victoria Land. It was named by a New Zealand Antarctic Expedition in 1957/58 after his impressive appearance and according to the New Zealand cruiser HMNZS Royalist. In the surrounding area you will find some other mountains that were named after the New Zealand ships, such as the Mount Ajax and the Mount Black Prince.
