Movement for Reconstruction of Poland
The Ruch Odbudowy Polski ( Movement for the Reconstruction of Poland; ROP) was a party in Poland. It existed from 1995 to 2012.
The ROP was founded after the presidential elections of 1995 by Jan Olszewski. Multiple smaller conservative parties of the ROP followed.
Their political program is in the slogan " God - Fatherland - honor" clearly. ROP occurs for Catholic values and the preservation of the full sovereignty of Poland. She turns sharply against the post-communist Alliance of the Democratic Left (SLD).
2001 joined the ROP in the electoral alliance Electoral Action Solidarity ( AWSP ), but left this soon. Parts of the ROP under the leadership of Jan Olszewski then joined the League of Polish Families (LPR ) to. After the party (PiS ) was founded in law and justice, some PiS politicians joined. On June 23, 2012, the party was disbanded and the remaining members of the recommended entry into the PiS.
