Movement of Popular Participation

The Movimiento de Participación Popular (MPP ) ( German: Movement for the participation of the people ) is a political party in Uruguay.

The party was founded in 1989 by leading members of the Tupamaros, one originating from the 1960s and 70s guerrilla movement in Uruguay. This included the March 2010 current President of Uruguay José Mujica.
