Mrlínek

Mrlínek ( German Mrlínek, 1939-1945 Merlinek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers north of Bystřice pod Hostynem and belongs to Okres Kroměříž.

Geography

Mrlínek located north of the host 's mountains in the Podbeskydská pahorkatina ( Vorbeskidenhügelland ). The village lies in the valley of the brook Blazický creek. North-east rise the Křímy (333 m), in the southeastern Kelčský Javorník (865 m) and the Javorník ( 799 m ) south of the Hostýnské ( 734 m) and in the west the Kroušovy (317 m).

Neighboring towns are Žákovice, Horni Nětčice and Vítonice in the north, Horni Újezd ​​in the northeast, Nový Dvůr Libosváry and Loukov in the east, V Revíře and Chvalčov the southeast, Chvalčova Lhota, Bystřice pod Hostýnem, Bažantnice and Rychlov in the south, Křtomil and Lipová in the southwest, Dřevohostice in the west and Sovadina and Blazice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Mrlin took place in 1348. Boček In 1365 I acquired the estate of Podiebrad Mirlyn. 1368 the site was designated as Myrlyn and 1405 Mrlyn. Between 1373 and 1444 belonged to the possessions of the castle Mrlyn Obřany. The estate consisted at that time of two villages, Hornij Mrlyn and Dolnij Mrlyn. The former went out in the second half of the 15th century during the Bohemian- Hungarian War. Dolnij Mrlin formed since the beginning of the 16th century a knight's seat. 1520 gave Václav Obešlík Lipultovice of the parties and the village Dolnij Mrlin to Jeronym of Bašť. In 1552 Mrlijnka was called desolate. A little later the place was repopulated and 1555 connected to the rule Bystřice. The fort was not rebuilt and its exact location is not known. Subsequent owners were the lords of Lobkowicz and from 1650 Johann von Rott Valley. This combined with the Bystřice Holešov to a large rule and started the re-conversion of subjects. In 1763, the family of the Counts of red valley died out in the male line; in the breakdown of the rule Holešov - Bystřice among the heirs Mrlínek was again submissive after Bystřice. 1789 was followed by the della Rovere di Monte l' Abbate as the new owner and in 1804 acquired Johann Nepomuk Graf Wengersky the rule. As of 1827 the rule Bystřice belonged to the Counts Laudon. Until the mid-19th century Mrlínek remained subservient always Bystřice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Mrlínek formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Holle show. Since 1872 the municipalities bore the name Mrlínky. Today's local name Mrlínek is in use since 1881. Between 1940 and 1941 resulted in a cemetery on a hill on the road to Hranice. Previously performed the burials in the cemetery of the parish church of Loukov. After the abolition of Okres Holešov the community in 1960 associated with the Okres Kroměříž. On August 15, 1976 Mrlínek was incorporated into Bystřice pod Hostýnem. Since the beginning of 1994 Mrlínek is independent again.

Trivia

According to popular lore, the village is located at the center of the earth and in the local chronicle of 1927 it is recorded that in Mrlínek the earth's axis would be lubricated. The local football club TJ Mrlínek organized a traditional tournament for the Cup of the Earth's axis ( pohár zemské osy ).
