MS Riverdance

The Riverdance was a ferry. She was 116.31 meters long, 18.22 meters wide and displaced 3045 GRT.

It was as " Mashala " built in 1977 by the Rickmers shipyard in Bremerhaven for the Mashala Shipping Co. and used in the Mediterranean.

Most recently, she was between Warrenpoint in County Down and Heysham in Lancashire in use. She was hit west of Fleetwood, Lancashire, by a freak wave on 31 January 2008. They eventually ran aground at Blackpool and was later canceled on the spot, after portions of the charge removed and the fuel had been pumped out.
