MTX Tatra V8

The MTX Tatra V8 is a two-seat sports car by Czech manufacturer MTX spol. It was presented in 1991 at the Prague Auto Salon.

History

The MTX Tatra V8 was drawn by Czech designer Václav Král and built together with the company MTX, hence the name " MTX ". He had the air-cooled V8 engine of the Tatra 613-4, which, however, was enlarged to 3.9 liters and equipped with carburetors or Bosch K -Jetronic. The body of the prototype corresponded to the 625, but had a different front hood, a larger rear spoiler and scissor doors.

On 8 May 1997, the car broke the speed record over 1/8 mile ( 200.25 m) with 210.895 km / h
