MTX (automobile)
MTX spol. s r. o is a Czech manufacturer of automobiles.
Company History
The company was founded in 1969 in Prague, Czechoslovakia as a workshop. First of Škoda vehicles and Lada were converted to race cars. Followed in 1970, the first self-construction of a racing car. The brand name is MTX. With the introduction of the market economy changed the field of activity. Since then, a focus on the development and production of road vehicles is in small series. Overall, already more than 170 prototypes, racing and sports car emerged.

Racing car
The MTX 1-01 was created in 1970 with an engine of Skoda for Easter formula racing series. This was followed by the models 1-02, 1-03, 1-04, 1-05, 1-06, 1-07, 1-08 and 1-09.
MTX Tatra V8
This was a sports car on Tatra base, developed in 1989 and introduced in 1991. Technician was Václav Král. It was planned production of 100 vehicles. The actual number was much lower.
Roadster and Cabriolet
The company introduced from 1995 cabriolet conversions based on the Škoda Felicia ago.
Beach Buggy
This model had a tubular frame. For the drive was provided by a four-cylinder engine from the Ford Fiesta 1100 cc. The open body made of plastic could accommodate 2 2 persons.
