Mugwump

The term Mugwump called a politician who is independent or neutral. In the U.S. presidential election campaign of 1884 thus deviants were referred to in the Republican Party who supported the opposing Democratic candidates. The term comes from the Algonquin language and means Big Chief but also important man.

In general English usage, a Mugwump means someone who can not decide or want.
