Muhammad VIII al-Amin

Lamine Bey, French Mohamed El - Amine Bey ( born September 4, 1881 in Carthage ( Tunisia); † September 30, 1962 in Tunis ) was the last Bey of Tunis.

Lamine Bey was the last representative of husainidischen dynasty, which ruled Tunisia since the end of the 18th century. He followed on May 15, 1943, after his cousin Moncef Bey, who was deposed by the French after the Forces Françaises Libres (FFL, Free French troops ) had de Gaulle Tunisia occupied. Lamine Bey was deposed on 25 July 1957.
