Mukayris (also: Mukayrās ) (Arabic مكيراس ) is a city in the province of al - Bayda ', Yemen. It lies at an altitude of 2170 m, about 20 km southeast of Al- Baida '. Around 30 km south-east lies Lawdar. The city stood from 1839 to 1967 under the British protectorate.
