Muktinath

Muktinath ( Nepali: मुक्तिनाथ Muktinath ) - Chumig Gyatsa, also Muktichetra ( 3,790 m) is a pilgrimage in the district of Mustang and the former Kingdom of Mustang in Central Nepal. It is on one of the most famous trails of Nepal, the Annapurna Circuit. Here is an ancient Buddhist and Hindu shrine ( Lage28.81666666666783.871111111111 ). The oldest remains of paths through the gorge of the Kali Gandakiflusses which lead to Muktinath are estimated at the time around 1000 BC, since the sanctuary is also likely to be visited.

108 sources which arise from a wall, are sacred to the Hindus, while a burning gas flame which springs from a source, the Buddhists is sacred. The two religions coexist here with each other easily.

Muktinath is a destination for trekking tours and pilgrimages by followers of Hinduism and Buddhism. Muktinath is the starting point for the transition into the Manang valley over the 5416 m high pass Thorong La on the Annapurna Circuit.
