Mundus
Mundus ( Latin for " world ") stands for
- A company for the production and marketing of bentwood furniture, see Mundus AG;
- An operator of senior citizen residences and seniors homes, headquartered in Berlin;
- A ritual pit in ancient Rome, see Mundus Cereris;
- An officer at the time of Justinian I, see Mundus (commander );
- An alias of the Swiss writer Jacob Vetsch ( 1879-1942 ).
In addition, there are:
- A publisher name to 1934 (Berlin, B. -Charlottenburg ) and from 1945 (Basel, Zurich and Stuttgart );
- A Nazi Media Group Mundus GmbH of the Information Department ( Propaganda-Abt. ) of the AA; a minor publishing was called New World Publishing with the magazine XX. Century ( 20th Century ), see Klaus Mehnert;
- A family of typefaces of the Stempel AG Frankfurt: Mundus roman semi bold; Mundus book writing; Mundus Book Italic font; Mundus book semi-bold font; Mundus uppercase. Design Willy Schwerdtner. The production is extinguished in 1986, stocks initially at the TH Darmstadt, now in the Hessian State Museum ibid.
