Municipal Art Society

The Municipal Art Society of New York ( MAS) was founded in 1893 and is a non-profit member association, which are characterized by their outstanding work in the fields of urban design, urban planning, contemporary architecture, historic preservation and public art in the five boroughs of New York City has rendered outstanding.

The Municipal Art Society has its headquarters in the 457 Madison Avenue in the left wing of the historic Villard Houses. The ground floor is open to the public.
