The Blackwater or Munster Blackwater ( Irish: An Abhainn Mhór, " the great river " ) is a river in Ireland and flows through counties Kerry, Cork and Waterford. It rises in the Mullaghareirk Mountains in County Kerry and then flows in an easterly direction through County Cork, through Mallow and Fermoy. He then reached the county Waterford, flows through Lismore, then turns south at Cappoquin, and flows into the sea at Youghal.

In total, the Blackwater is 168 kilometers long.

He is known as one of the best salmon fishing districts of Ireland, although salmon stocks have declined markedly in recent years.
