Murat Bardakçı

Murat Gökhan Bardakçı ( born 1955 in Istanbul) is a Turkish journalist and television presenter. He holds a business degree. He became famous for his historical work, with the focus on the Ottoman history and Turkish music history, at the same time he is a columnist for the newspaper Haberturk. According to his own statement about his family history in his television program The Back Room of the story ( Tarihin Arka Odası ) he comes to a half of the Circassians and the other half of the Crimean Tatars. His grandfather was Governor Cemal Bardakçı in Denizli, Elazig, and Konya Çorum and fought in the Turkish War of Independence.
