Muriel Turner, Baroness Turner of Camden

Muriel Winifred Turner, Baroness Turner of Camden, of Camden in Greater London ( born September 18, 1927) is a British politician of the Labour Party, which is since 1985 member of the House of Lords.

Life

Muriel Turner, a member of the Labour Party, was 1977-1993 member of the Authority for occupational pensions (Occupational Pensions Board ) and was next from 1982 to 1988 the Equal Opportunities Commission (Equal Opportunities Commission ) as a member.

In 1985, she was raised as a Life Peeress with the title Baroness Turner of Camden, of Camden in Greater London to the peerage. On June 18, 1985, their introduction ( Introduction) as a member of the House of Lords. During their membership in the upper house it was 1987-1996 spokeswoman of the opposition Labour group on social security and employment.
