Murilo Benício

Murilo Benício Ribeiro ( born July 13, 1971 in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a Brazilian actor.

Life and career

Murilo Benício is the youngest of four brothers, his parents are Luis Mário Ribeiro and Berenice Benício. Already with 10 years, he became interested in the theater, after seeing a movie with Charles Chaplin. At this age, he ascended alone the bus to Rio and Niterói left his hometown to study at the Teatro Tablado. In 1989 he went to California to become an actor. In San Francisco, he worked as a cleaner, waiter and pizza delivery boy to earn his livelihood. Later he returned to Brazil and said before the holidays at an actors' workshop of the station Rede Globo. Benício began at the age of 21 years with acting.

Benicio's television credits include the Brazilian telenovela O Clone and América. The episodes have been aired in Brazil, in the United States, Russia and many other countries in Latin America, Asia and Europe. He is known for his film roles in Woman on Top with Penélope Cruz and Amores Possíveis. In 2012, he played the " Tufão " in the telenovela Avenida Brasil '.

Benício has two sons with the actresses Alessandra Negrini and Giovanna Antonelli.
