Murray Bail
Murray Bail ( born September 22, 1941 in Adelaide ) is an Australian writer. He lives in Sydney.
His most famous novel is eucalyptus from 1998, for which he received a year later several awards, including the Miles Franklin Award, the Commonwealth Writers' Prize and the ALS Gold Medal.
A portrait of Murray Bail, painted by the artist Fred Williams, is owned by the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra, but is not currently on display.
