Musa Gibril Bala Gaye

Musa Gibril Bala Gaye (* August 13, 1946; Mousa G. Bala Gaye also ) was Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Gambia.

Bala Gaye is a Gambian politician, economist, banker and diplomat. He had a long career in government service and worked in banking and in business before becoming Finance Minister ( Secretary of State for Finance and Economic Affairs ) joined the Cabinet of Gambia on 25 September 2003. He served in this position until 10 March 2005.

On 24 March 2005, he was Foreign Minister ( Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs ) of the Gambia and held this position until 24 October 2005. In a cabinet reshuffle, he then took on the position as Minister of Trade, Industry and Commerce ( Secretary of State for Trade, Industry and Employment). Shortly thereafter, on November 15, he took over a further reshuffle again the Finance and economy.

The Order of Grand Officer ( GORG ) received Bala Gaye in May 2009.

On June 19, 2009 Bala Gaye was replaced by Abdou Kolley as Minister of Finance.
