Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto
The Museo di arte moderna e contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto ( MART ) was inaugurated in Rovereto on 20 August 2002. It is architecturally significant and in addition to the most important collection of futuristic art of Italy, a relevant research institution.
History
Rovereto is a northern Italian town with 36,000 inhabitants and is located in the autonomous region of Trentino- South Tyrol (Alto Adige). Cultural emphasis was placed to the beginning of the 20th century with Mozart's first concert in Italy ( 1769), a Goethe stay ( 1784), with the construction of a huge theater (1784 ) and the establishment of the " Accademia degli Agiati ". Architectural History, Architecture
A native of Ticino architect Mario Botta in 1987 entrusted with planning.
