Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka

The Oriental Ceramics Museum Osaka (Japanese大阪 市立 东洋 陶磁 美术馆, Osaka Shiritsu Toyo Toji Bijutsukan, engl. The Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka ) is a 1982 opened art museum in the central Nakanoshima Park in Osaka, one of the world's finest collections Chinese and Korean ceramics houses. Exhibits include two national treasures and 13 important cultural property of Japan.

Overview

The museum was built to house the important collection of the entrepreneur and art lover Ataka Eiichi (安 宅 英 一, 1901-1994 ) to accommodate and issue. Was donated the collection to the city of Osaka 21 companies of the traditional Sumitomo group of companies. [Note 1] The collection includes approximately 4000 items, of which about 2,700 Chinese, Korean and Japanese ceramics. In 1999 a wing was opened to display more Japanese ceramics and the collection of Korean ceramics I Byeongchang (李秉昌).

From the collections each about 320 objects are on display in the main building and the side wings. These are two special exhibitions annually. The house contains the following showrooms:
