Music for Relief

Music for Relief is a charity the U.S. band Linkin Park. The organization usually occurs in natural disasters in force, as for example in the 2004 tsunami disaster in South -East Asia.

Music For Relief was launched after the tsunami in Southeast Asia by Linkin Park 2004. In addition, Music For Relief helped the victims of hurricane " Katrina ", where all donations went directly to the victims and their family. The aim of their support to help the victims next is to show that famous musicians and their fans are interested in their environment and help - and not, as many say, to be self-obsessed.

Linkin Park, Fort Minor and Music For Relief teamed up with the charity Friends and Helpers to assist students at various schools in New Orleans. Through the Hurricane 17 schools were destroyed in the territory of Louisiana, where Linkin Park presented school supplies available and they personally visited on 10, 11, and 12 September 2006.

The band works in the context of Music For Relief to the organization American Forests together. For every concert ticket sold, a tree is planted in the United States. By mid-2008 as one million trees were planted.

With the album Download to Donate for Haiti, which contains 18 songs from various artists and bands, Music for Relief collected donations for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. On the compilation is included with Not Alone, a new song by Linkin Park. Nearly a year later a re-release under the name of Download to Donate for Haiti V2.0, which contains a total of 86 tracks.

Even after the Tohoku Earthquake in Japan 2011 a compilation was released. Download to Donate: Tsunami Relief contains 26 songs, including with Issho Ni another exclusive track from Linkin Park.

Currently running the action Power the World, which collects for the installation of solar panels in Haiti money.

In addition to Linkin Park and numerous other bands and artists from various music genres such as rock, metal, pop, rap and Spanish Music are committed, including KoRn, Incubus, Staind, Disturbed, Jurassic 5, Jay -Z, Michelle Branch, Enrique Iglesias and Juanes.
