Mussorgsky family

Mussorgsky (Russian Мусоргские ) is the name of an old Russian noble family. The family is a branch of the family of boyars Monastirjew, the descendants of Rurik from the line of the princes of Smolensk.

The progenitor of Mussorgsky family is Roman Vasilyevich Monastirjew Must - Orga ( a descendant of Rurik in the 18th generation ).
