Muttiheft

A communication log is an issue or a smaller book that is used for communication between teachers of a school (especially class teachers of the input classes), a kindergarten or a special educational institution and the parents of a child. Such books can be demonstrated in German schools as early as the early 19th century.

It is also called Wish booklet, communication book, transport issue, hanging file, as well as colloquial and often ironically referred to as mommy issue.

A Mitteiltungsheft serves to inform parents regularly about certain events at the school, for example, parents' evenings, project lessons and excursions, as well as their preparation at home. In addition, the behavior of their child is entered, this includes blame, but also praise and awards. Awards may be indicated by stamp ( in the GDR and then " Bees " called ). The entries must be signed in some institutions by the parents to confirm the information. Studies show that parents see the Communication issue as well as other forms of written information as an important supplement for general communication with the school, which they often perceive as rather unsatisfactory.

Other forms of written teacher-parent communication

In some schools, communications take place in a communication issue to be entered into the homework diary of the child, along with the list of homework.

Releases, as they relate to all the students of a class are given by the teachers in paper form as a letter to parents or sent via e -mail.

As a formal graduation announcement for a school year or half-year the testimony serves.
