Babam ve oglum ( in German: My Father and My Son ). 's A Turkish drama film from 2005 directed by Çağan Irmak, who also wrote the screenplay. Theatrical release in Europe was on 9 March 2006.

Action

During the military coup in 1980 Deniz loses his mother. Years later, he travels with his father Sadik to the farm of his grandfather. Grandpa Huseyin had his son Sadik violated years ago because this was a political activist. Deniz is fascinated by his relatives that he sees for the first time: a resentful aunt, a simpleton as an uncle and a grandmother who communicates via radio. Sadik returns because he wants to leave his son with his grandparents. But Deniz knows nothing about it. However Sadik dies and Deniz is then very concerned. To get over his grief, everyone is trying to make him the new environment a little easier. Thus, the small Deniz comes closer and closer to his grandpa.
