Nabil El Zhar

Nabil El Zhar ( born August 27, 1986 in Alès ) is a Moroccan football player, who also has French nationality.

Career

Association

Born in France Moroccans began his career in 1996 with Olympique Alès in the youth team. In 1999 he moved to Jugendelf of Nimes Olympique. from 2004-2006 he was with AS Saint- Etienne in the youth department. In 2006, El Zhar moved to Liverpool in England. Mostly used in the reserve team, the Moroccans came on 29 November 2006 in the Premier League on his debut when he came off the bench against Portsmouth in the 71st minute. Almost a year later, he scored on 31 October 2007 in the Carling Cup against Cardiff City 's first goal for Liverpool.

On 11 July 2009 he signed a new contract until 2012.

For the 2010/11 season he was loaned for one year to the Greek Europa League PAOK Thessaloniki participants with an option for three more years.

National

Internationally, he played four times for his native country France in the U-18 selection. In 2005, El Zhar played in the U -20 World Cup in the Netherlands for Moroccan selection. He was one of the most prominent players of Morocco and brought his team to the semifinals of the tournament and was in the end fourth.
