Nackasändaren

The transmitter Nacka is a broadcasting facility in the Stockholm area, which has existed since 1956. From the radio station Nacka the first television in Sweden in 1956 radiated.

At that time the transmitter Nacka used two 160-meter -high steel masts, which, as they were also used as a transmitting antenna for medium wave, were isolated from soil. 1965 a 299 meter high guyed lattice steel mast was erected for the transmission of FM radio and television programs as a third transmission tower. This transmission tower is grounded in contrast to the medium wave transmission towers, but he was up to the attitude of the medium wave broadcasts insulators on the top guy ropes so as not to influence the directional pattern of the medium wave transmitter excessively. On 1 June 1981, the medium wave transmitter operating in Nacka was stopped and the Stahlrohrmaste used for this purpose were demolished on 2 November 1983 and 7 December 1983 by means of explosives. In its place another, also 299 meters high guyed steel framework mast for the transmission of FM radio and television programs in 1984 erected.
