Nağaybäk

The Nagaibaken ( Tatar Нагайбәкләр / Nagaybäklär ) are a largely resident in the Chelyabinsk Oblast group of Tatars, specifically the sub-group of the Volga -Urals Tatars. In the older literature the term Nogaibaken is common, since you originally brought this people group with the Nogaiern in conjunction.

In contrast to the other Tatars are the Nagaibaken supporters of orthodoxy. In the Russian legislation they are officially out as a small nation ( малый народ ). According to 2002 census, there are 9,600 Nagaibaken in Russia, 9,100 of them in the Chelyabinsk Oblast.

In the former Russian Empire the Nagaibaken been attributed to the Russians as Christians and considered one of the Orenburg Cossacks. In the period 1917-1920 supported Nagaibaken together with the Orenburg Cossacks maintaining the short-lived Alash -Orda State.

Regional Center of Nagaibaken is the place Ferschampenuas. The term " Ufa newly baptized " the Nagaibaken have been known since the early 18th century. Their origin is different researchers either in the Nogai - Kipchak or Kazan Tatar 's view.
