Naima Wifstrand

Siri Naima Matilda Wifstrand ( born September 4, 1890 in Stockholm, † October 23, 1968 ibid ) was a Swedish actress.

Life

Siri Naima Matilda Wifstrand grew up as the daughter of a single mother on in Fleminggatan, Stockholm. From 1905, she studied acting with Anna Lundberg's and played from then on in Helsinki and Stockholm theater. From 1910 she studied in London with Raymond mills of the spectacle. After completing her training, she was able to establish itself as Swedish operetta singer. They played until the end of the 1920s regularly in Stockholm operettas. By the end of the 1930s she worked mainly in the theater and began in the early 1940s with the film acting. In particular, for Ingmar Bergman, she played at the end of their career in several films, including Smiles of a Summer Night, Wild Strawberries and The Hour of the Wolf with.

From 1921 to 1928 she was married to Erling Nielsen.
