Nakatsukasa

Nakatsukasa (Japanese中 务) was a Japanese waka poet of the Heian period in the 10th century. She is one of five women of the Thirty-Six Immortals of Poetry.

Her father, Prince Atsuyoshi (敦 庆 亲王, Atsuyoshi - shinnō ) was the son of Uda Tenno, and Minister of the Central Ministry ( Nakatsukasa - kyō ), and since her name is unknown, the item was used as Notname. Her mother was the poet Ise. It maintained relations and relationships with a variety of young nobleman, particularly to Minamoto no Saneakira, which also ranks among the Thirty-Six Immortals of Poetry.

Many of her poems are part of the poem anthology Gosen - Wakashū. Other poems can be found in the collections Saneakira shū (信 明 集), Motosuke shū (元 辅 集) and Minamoto no Shitagō shū (元 辅 集)
