Life
After studying at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, he founded Infosys Technologies Ltd.. 1981 together with N. R. Narayanamurthy. He is co-founder of India's National Association of Software and Service Companies ( NASSCOM ) and counted by Fortune magazine in 2004 among the 25 most influential people in Asia.
In 2010, he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors ( Chairman ) of the Unique Identification Authority of India ( UIDAI ), the (UID ) is concerned for the 1.3 billion people of India with the creation of an identity card.
In 2006 he was awarded the Padma Bhushan.
