Nanga-Eboko

Nanga Eboko is a city in Cameroon in the Centre region. It is the capital of the district of Haute- Sanaga. It lies on the N1 highway. To the north of the municipality runs the River Sanaga.

In German - Cameroon Nanga Eboko was next Doumé and Yagoua one of the places where the colonial administration tentatively introduced the cultivation of rice, which had not been common in pre-colonial times. In the independent Cameroon, the Chinese government supported a new rice-growing project in the city. Nanga Eboko lies on the railway line Douala - Ngaoundéré and has a railway station.
