Nanni Loy

Nanni Loy (actually Giovanni Loy, born October 23, 1925 in Cagliari, † August 21, 1995 in Rome ) was an Italian film director, actor and screenwriter.

Life

Loy initially studied law, then attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and directed several short films .. In 1949 he began a five -year working as an assistant director on many important colleagues of his time. In 1955 he was active as a director of the second rod for Tam Tam Mayumbe, whereupon he was commissioned as a co- director Gianni Puccini for two comedies. In 1961, when another comedy, then Un giorno da leoni appeared, who, like his successor The four days of Naples, who was also nominated for two Oscars in 1964 and the Nastro d' Argento was named best film, critics and audiences alike convinced.
