Napa is a port city on the Napa River in the U.S. state of California, United States, with 76,200 inhabitants ( 2004). It is located in Napa County and is the County Seat.

The city is a center for wine production and tourism. The main industrial products include sheets, building materials, leather goods and clothing. Already in the thirties of the 19th century revealed the first settlers in the region of vineyards, in the late fifties, in the time of the gold and silver rush unfolded the city.
