Narcissus assoanus

Narcissus assoanus, occasionally even as N. juncifolius or N. referred requienii

Narcissus assoanus is a plant of the genus narcissus in the family of the Amaryllis family ( Amaryllidaceae ). It is sometimes referred to as Narcissus Narcissus juncifolius or requienii. However, under Narcissus assoanus it has been scientifically described for the first time. After the priority rule, this is therefore the valid botanical name.

Description

Narcissus assoanus grows as a perennial herbaceous plant, reaching a height of up to 25 centimeters, with the bins -like foliage overhangs the stalk something. Two to three small, yellow flowers sit on inflorescences with a diameter of 22 millimeters. The corona, which is a little stronger yellow, is only five millimeters high.

The beginning of flowering time is site- dependent and is between March and June.

Dissemination

The distribution of Narcissus assoanus is very large for a Narzissenart. It grows in southern France, northern and northeastern Spain, Minorca and Corsica. According to some authors, it grows wild in Portugal. It is cold- sensitive and can be pulled in Central Europe only in the cold greenhouse.
