Näsijärvi

The Näsijärvi [ Näsijärvi ] is a lake in the west of Finland. He is part of the flow from north to south chain of lakes Vaskivesi - Visuvesi - Tarjanne - Ruovesi - Palovesi - Näsijärvi, which ends in the north at Virrat. It is 256.8 km ² one of the largest lakes in this region and flows in Tampere on the Tammerkoski rapids into the lake from Pyhajarvi.

As the timber industry has their wastewater, especially the phosphorus content decreased in recent years, the water quality could be improved.

After the lake, the asteroid ( 1534) Näsi is named.
