Nasser Judeh

Nasser Judeh (* 1961) is a Jordanian politician.

Biography

Judeh studied after school education at the College de La Salle in Amman from 1966 to 1975 and thereafter at Eastbourne College in Sussex from 1979 International Politics, Law and Organization at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science ( B.Sc.) graduated in Foreign Service.

On his return to Jordan, he served in the Royal Court in public relations and then as private secretary of Hassan ibn Talal. In 1994 he was Director General of the Jordanian state television and 1998 Director General of the National Broadcasting transmitter Jordan Radio and Television Corporation ( JRTC ). He was then Minister of Information and government spokesman before he was 2003 Media Consultant airline Royal Jordanian. During a subsequent work as CEO of Informartion and Communication Expertise ( ICE), a company specializing in Small and Medium Enterprises company, he was also a board member of a number of companies.

On November 25, 2007, he was appointed Minister of State for Media and Communication in the government of Prime Minister Nadir al-Dhahabi. He was then traded as Foreign Minister.

As part of a Government reshuffle, he was appointed by Prime Minister al-Dhahabi as Foreign Minister on 22 February 2009. In his capacity as Foreign Minister, he gave a speech to the 64th General Assembly of the United Nations in September 2009.

Family

He is the son of former State Minister Sami Judeh. An uncle is the former Prime Minister Said Rifai, whose son is the current Prime Minister Samir Rifai. Nasser Judeh is with Princess Sumaya, a cousin of King Abdullah II and daughter of Hassan ibn Talal, married and has four children with this. Princess Sumaya is not only Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, but also President of the Jordanian Handball Federation.
