Nastradamus

Production

Nastradamus is Nas fourth official album for Columbia Records. It was released in November 1999. The title derives from the French prophet Nostradamus. Nas liked the name so much that he exchanged the first three letters of his own first name by Nos resulting in Nastradamus forms. Nastradamus was originally to be released along with I Am ... as a double album, but because Raubkopierei never materialized. Nastradamus is viewed in comparison to the other albums from Nas, often described as his worst. It is obvious that Nas wanted to make the jump into the mainstream with this album, but that flopped. Finally got Nastradamus but at least 3.5 Mics from The Source and was verified with platinum.
