Nas ' album, which was released in July 2008, is the ninth official studio album that coming from New York rapper and carries no official name.
Genesis
Originally this album was to be titled " nigger "; So this was at least announced by Nas at a performance in New York on October 12, 2007. On 19 May 2008 it was confirmed that Nas the title of the album " Untitled " changed. It was noted that people will always know what is the real title of this album and it will be called. The cover of the album shows the naked back of Nas, with whip scars that form the letter N, a reference to the racial discrimination and torture of slaves.
Reviews
The reviews of the untitled album were generally positive. However, describes Internet sites like laut.de or rap.de the album as extremely difficult to comprehend because countless cross-references, allusions and puns make it a non-American very difficult to understand the album 100 percent. The Kontroversitäten which will continue in the work itself only hinted already in the development and selection of the album. " The album ," writes laut.de, " is politicizing, and furious. The lyrical perfection of Nas ' Illmatic will always praised since the 1994 is not underestimating well in this album. The Nigger Tape
June 9, 2008 Nas released with DJ Green Lantern a mixtape titled The Nigger Tape. The mixtape was released by nasindependenceday. On the Mixtape three songs that were later on Untitled, as well as several unreleased tracks are included.
