Nate Jaqua
Jonathan Nathan " Nate " Jaqua ( born October 28, 1981 in Eugene, Oregon) is an American football player at the position of a striker. He currently plays for Seattle Sounders FC in the top division in the North American Soccer, Major League Soccer (MLS ).
Life and career
Nate, the son of the former wide receiver of the Washington Redskins Jon V. Jaqua, began his career on the native of South Eugene High School High School. After Jaqua came to the University of Portland, he was obliged by the 2003 Chicago Fire SC, as a professional player. After two years in Chicago, the striker moved to Canada to Toronto FC, where he was not happy. He went to Los Angeles Galaxy, where he again remained only briefly. After another trip to Chicago, the Americans moved in 2007 to Houston Dynamo. With the guys from Houston, he won the U.S. championship in 2007. Jaqua In January 2008, decided to move to Austria to SC Rheindorf Altach. In the summer of 2008, he returned to Houston.
His debut in the Bundesliga was Jaqua on 16 February 2008 in the 24th round, the match between Altach and FK Austria Wien. Jaqua played through and scored the opening goal in a 1-1 draw. In his second Bundesliga match against SK Rapid Wien he scored the 2-1 winning goal. Internationally, he played twice for the national team of the United States.
On 26 November 2008 he was selected in 2008 expansion draft by the Seattle Sounders FC in the MLS, and came to the new season for this team.
