Nathalie de Vries

Nathalie de Vries (born 1965 in Appingedam ) is a Dutch architect and partner in the office MVRDV, currently one of the world's most successful Dutch architecture offices in Rotterdam.

She studied from 1984 to 1990 architecture at the Technical University of Delft. As an architect, she worked at Lapenas Martinez & Torres Arquitectos in Barcelona, ​​DJV Architects Mecanoo Architects in Rotterdam and Delft. In 1991 she founded in Rotterdam together with Winy Maas and Jacob van Rijs, the architectural firm MVRDV.

Nathalie de Vries has taught at numerous colleges and universities, architecture, among other things, at the Technical University of Delft, the Technical University of Berlin, at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam and at the Architectural Association London. Since 2013 she teaches the class for architecture at the Art Academy in Dusseldorf.

Since 2003 she is member of the Design Committee of the city of Salzburg.
