Nathan O'Neill

Nathan O'Neill ( born November 23, 1974 in Sydney ) is an Australian former racing cyclist.

Sports career

O'Neill 2000 pro at Ceramiche Panaria, where he went three years. Then he went one year at Saturn, Colavita and Navigators Insurance, until he went to Health Net - Maxxis 2006. He won stage wins at the Tour of Sweden, the Tour de Langkawi and the Redlands Bicycle Classic. In the newly created Tour of California in 2006, he was fifth overall. At the 2002 Commonwealth Games O'Neill won the bronze medal and at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, the Gold medal in the individual time trial. Between 2002 and 2007, he was five times Australian Champion in the time trial.

In the Elk Grove Tour 2007 in the USA Nathan O'Neill tested positive for phentermine. He was subsequently suspended for 15 months. The International Court of Sport increased the barrier in 2008 by two years more until August 2010.
