National Car Rental

National Car Rental is an American car rental company headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was founded in 1947 by 27 independent car rental agencies. At that time, there were a total of 60 locations in the United States.

National Car Rental has more than 3,000 branches with a fleet of approximately 350,000 vehicles in 83 countries. 1998 National Car Rental has started to strengthen its commitment in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and is here now represented with more than 1,000 locations in over 45 countries.

National Car Rental is one as well as the sister brand Alamo Rent A Car to Vanguard Car Rental USA.

In March 2007, Europcar Vanguard took over the European operations of the brands National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car.
