The Centre national de recherche en anthropologie sociale et culturelle ( CRASC ) (translated: National Centre for Research in Social and Cultural Anthropology ) is a founded in 1992, Algerian civil human scientific research institution based in Oran.

Legal status

Legally, the CRASC is since 2003 a public scientific and technological institution, which is under the administrative supervision of the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a Établissement public à caractère scientifique et technologique ( EPST ).

Tasks

Task of CRASC is the development of basic and applied research in the social and cultural anthropology. It conducts research for the improvement of the social and human sciences in Algeria, to training and qualification of researchers. Is also encouraged the national and international exchange of information, for example by organizing symposia. The CRASC has approximately 200 individual research projects. The results are published in scientific journals such as Cahiers du CRASC as well as monographs.

The CRASC is a scientific advisory board under the current leadership of Bekkouche Ammar aside.
